Life is beginning to slow down a bit and I'm so thankful for this! It's been a wild roller-coaster ride the past few months.
Mama is in a wonderful Alzheimer's facility. Like everyone there, she wants to go home. Now the home she wants to go home to is her childhood home. She's convinced her mother is alive and she wants to go check on her. It breaks my heart that she's so sad because no one will take her to see her mother. (Grandma has been dead almost 40 years now.)
The house is almost empty. We're here to finish up some little stuff and to mow the yard. It needed it badly when we arrived but now it looks so pretty again. I kept saying we mowed an acre. Well, apparently I'm not good at measuring acreage because my husband and nephew figure it's more like 3 to 4 acres. It takes about five hours of mowing with a large riding mower to get the job done. Today my husband is planning to do some trimming. It needs it too!
Have a good day!
